Festival of Jazz
The concert at Chateau St Michelle was hardly a Festival of Jazz. Ever since Smooth Jazz and Carol Handley departed, the series has been very disappointing. There are few jazz artists/musicians even performing. As such, the concerts are boring with a bevy of easy listening singers. Morgan James is an exception because she is such a dynamic singer. However, the rest, Sara Niemietz and Tuck & Patti, were pleasant but certainly not jazz. Dean Z - The Ultimate Elvis is a gifted musician who gives a very professional performance. The pace was slow, and it never got "rocking". The concert should be titled "Festival of Adult Contemporary Music". Moving forward, Chateau St Michelle needs to either rename the concert to something more appropriate or return to inviting real jazz/smooth jazz artists for the venue.
